Western Kentucky's Quarterback Mike White Named to Maxwell Award Watch List

Senior Hilltopper’s quarterback Mike White was just placed on the Maxwell award watch list. White had a breakout season and was named the conference’s new comer of the year. White spent part of the off season in S. Florida with his personal quarterback coach Ken Mastrole. The two have been working together since his Junior year of high school. In preparation for the 2017 season Mastrole and White focused on tightening up some small inefficiencies identified through game tape and high speed film Mastrole places each quarterback through. The two also spent time in the film room discussing protection scenarios, coverages, and game situations. White returns for his senior season under new head coach Mike Sanford. Coach Sanford who has been at Notre Dame and Stanford brings the perfect offense to fit the Senior signal caller. Recognized as a quarterback guru himself, coach Sanford, will undoubtedly help Mike White continue to grow into one of the top quarterbacks in the country.
