College Quarterbacks Heading to S. Florida

College Quarterbacks Heading to S. Florida

With spring football in the books college quarterbacks across the country have an opportunity to take a short time off before the start of summer school, workouts and conditioning. This off season a number of the top and rising quarterbacks are spending a few days in south Florida with private quarterback coach Ken Mastrole (Mastrole Quarterback Academy). As a former quarterback at the collegiate and NFL level coach Mastrole understands how much time, dedication, discipline, and focus go into being a quarterback at the next level. Mastrole, with the assistance of MQA’s throwing specialist Gardy O’Flynn created a program that specifically focuses on 3 areas. Identifying inefficiencies and breakdowns in upper and lower body mechanics through 3D motion principles and high speed film. Each quarterback receives video analysis, core competency testing, game tape evaluation, functional strength report, and training plan/drills which complement their college off season programs. This spring Mastrole has already spent time working with Mississippi State’s Nick Fitzgerald, East Carolina’s Gardner Minshew, Western Kentucky’s Mike White, Utah’s Tyler Huntley, S. Illinois Sam Straub, Umass’ Michael Curtis, Akron’s Kato Nelson, West Florida’s Michael Beaudry, Fordham’s Kevin Anderson to name a few.
