Attention to Details Michigan Wolverines QB and Coach
Last weekend I spent the New Year’s Day at the Citrus Bowl watching one of my long time quarterback protégés paint his final masterpiece against the Florida Gators. Michigan quarterback Jake Rudock played a game for Michigan fans to remember as he not only passed for over 300 yds and 2 TD’s against a talent rich Gator defense but he also became the 2nd quarterback in Michigan history to throw for over 3000 yds in a single season. The Big 10 journeyman has never wavered or broken down. From his adversity filled season at Iowa to a questionable start at Utah, Rudock has saved his best for last. The attention to details by coach Harbaugh was evident during each snap of offense. I spent the evening with a number of players and coaches from the Wolverines to celebrate the win and to understand more about their preparation throughout the season. It all starts with the quarterback. The energy, the mind set, and the consistency of the QB directly reflects not only the offense but the entire team. Rudock’s ability to control his a emotions and play without fear proved to be the catalyst for New Year’s Day offensive masterpiece.
